[VIDEO] Unknown Composer: Swinging Cafe
on: February 06, 2010, 07:02:59 PM
Me playing a jazz piece called Swinging Cafe. I found this piece maybe 10 years ago on the Internet (as a MIDI file), and I removed the piano part and play it myself. I think it's a great little piece, don't know who wrote this though.

Is it a midi track you're playing with on your beautiful Kawai? This is out of my expertise (both the jazz and the midi :)), but I'm amazed at how well mixed it is, and that you were able to have this wonder result. I wonder if there is a lot of expensive equipment involved?

Anyway, enjoy your time here at Pianostreet.  :)

Thank you for watching!

Yes, I was playing with a MIDI track. The MIDI track is played by my Roland digital piano, and I use two AKG Perception 220 mics (I bought them just a few days ago, yay) to record the piano.

I just googled around and found the original MIDI file here:
https://www.dongrays.com/midi/archive/jazz/blues/swngcafe.mid

After so many years it's still on the internet!
