Looking for a good value electric stage piano
on: February 12, 2010, 01:19:04 AM
Hi, I'm just getting in to playing the piano and the time is coming that I buy myself an instrument. I don't want to get something too cheap because I've already gone through the frustration of buying a beginner instrument and outgrowing it quickly.
I've been looking at the M-Audio ProKeys 88; the price looks right and it has a good range of sounds (but not so many settings it makes your head spin). I'm just wondering what suggestions you have that are comparable to the M-Audio.
The features that I'm looking for specifically are weighted keys, a full 88 key board, a decent foot pedal and good sounding piano, Wurlitzer, and B3 organ simulations. Everything after that would just be gravy.
Thanks

Yeah... I am looking also and recently came across a site where they have a bunch of video demos and reviews of different Digital Pianos.
It kinda depends on what you want to do from here, but personally I am looking for a piano workstation to do some recording with. So far I've narrowed the field to either Yamaha, Nord, or Roland.
There is some pretty good video demos of a bunch of digital pianos here:

Good luck! ... Rob
