Beethoven at Highlands, starting March 13, 2010
on: February 12, 2010, 11:59:44 AM
Hi, friends,
I'll be playing a series of short recitals and chats in Columbus, Ohio, covering 12 Beethoven Sonatas. The recitals will be held at Highlands Presbyterian Church, 6909 Smoky Row Road (that's right, no "e"), on Saturdays at 4 p.m. on the following dates:
March 13 (10 No. 1, 109)
April 10 (14 No. 1, 31 No. 2)
May 8 (49 Nos. 1 & 2, 101)
June 5 (13, 27 No. 2)
July 10 (79, 90, 53)
If I am disciplined and learn how to do it, I'll post the videos online.
If you are in the area, I hope you can make it!
Cheers!

Enjoy!
Next concert is May 8, so I should be practicing now. That fugue in 101 is quite something!

I wasn't thinking, so I did not record the two sonatas Op. 49; next time!
Here is Op. 101.

All right, this is it.
Today is the last one on this series. I wish I was a spider so that I could break several legs! Those glissandos at the end and the million notes are quite something.
If you happen to be in the area, please stop by.
Cheers! Viva Beethoven!!!!
