Question about Keboard of Yamaha Clavinova CLP 330
on: March 19, 2010, 10:21:55 AM
Hi,
Did anyone having this model of piano notice a noise like a thud when the key is released from pressure?
I also noticed a little "tremble" in the keys, they don't just come up and stop. Is this normal?
I would hate to know that it is something wrong with my new piano  :(

It would help if you could tell us if these sounds occur when the amp is off, on or both.

Yes, that's normal. Actually most keyboards do that, and indeed many real pianos, to a lesser extent. Getting the damping exactly right so that a key returns to rest in the most efficient manner is a rather arcane art. The cheaper electronic keyboards hardly have any damping at all (I'm talking about damping of the key movement, not of the sound) so the key bangs and bounces quite badly.

Oxy60, both...
Now I really feel like crying because one of the keys started making a noise when released from pressure. It is a mecahnic issue and I contacted the dealer but they are in a distant city, I bet they will ask me to send the the piano to fix it.. and I have had it for 3 days only :'(  :'(  :'(
