Elton John - I am still standing transcription
on: March 22, 2010, 06:14:51 PM
Hello everyone,
first of all sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language, but I hope you'll understand my question.
I looked for the sheet of "I am still standing" from Elton John. Normally I buy them online at
www.sheetmusicdirect.com
because you can get the first page for free to try the song before buying it.
So I printed out the first page and started to play but after the first few cords I stoped because it sounded strange to me.
So I looked around youtube for some example videos and I saw most of the time a different version playing by the people then the version I found. Sometimes
www.sheetmusicdirect.com
has different arragements but not for this song. I also went to our local music library and I found the best of Elton John with the same sheet.
Because I don't know the names for the tonality, I will disribe what I have and what I found at youtube:
My version is has three # and starts
left (all the time) : A
right : A, C (not cis), E
The version from youtube (I belive something with moll) starts with
left : B (in Germany hes)
right : F B and DES
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPSaMtPFUpE
(after the intro)
So my question is, can somebody tell me where I can find arrangements for this song or how I can rearrange them by myself? I am not that expert in theoretically piano playing ;-)
Thanks a lot and many greetings from Germany,
Hauke
