hi, can someone tell me what's the number of the exercise in the image? I bought the book, but I can't find it there, and my copy doesn't have that information... and is from a different edition.

That's Exercise #1 in a slightly altered form.  (It's truncated in length so that the ascending and descending portions cover only one octave instead of two, and the note values are doubled so that the time signature is common time instead of the original 2/4.)
