How to remove a horizontal line in Word 2007
on: April 12, 2010, 01:35:19 AM
Man I hate those things.  But I found it if anyone else wants to know.

when you hit a few ---'s or ==='s it makes a line and you can't just delete them or highlight and delete them.

Place cursor directly infront of the line.

Page Borders button
Borders tab
select none

Thanks for the tip. Those sorts of features seem to be switched on during installation whether we want them or not. I would prefer a bare-bones featureless start instead.

If you would like a free word word processor check out Open Office (Sun Micro). I'm breaking in version 3.2 now and I like it. You will however need to turn on the features you want.
