Pianist looking for teacher in London
on: April 14, 2010, 08:28:54 AM
I am looking for a teacher in the UK. I have been looking first at all the teachers at RCM and RAM, but I realised that they are practically untouchable! Plus I don't think I would be ready for them yet, so I am looking for some teachers in London who are not so 'untouchable', and would accept that I there is still much to learn technique and repertoire wise. If any one knows of any good teachers, or websites to find teachers (i heard EPTA is good), that would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Well eventually I want a career as a concert pianist. But don't want to have lessons with a teacher who only takes really advanced students on only, as I'm not good enough yet! I've been to the Royal Northern, but only for a year as a postgrad. I am capable of playing virtuosic repertoire, just not had enough training for it yet!

Only ghosts are untouchable. Why not try?
