Barbara Wharram - Elementary Rudiments of Music

the best book I have come across- logical exercises, no bullsh1t or fancy language, great for late beginners or pianists with poor theory like me.

this is it..

https://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/0887970044/qid=1089518426/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/701-7942745-2616354

but, it is really common and almost every music store in town will have it...

Are you sure that the book is really common. I have checked at amazon.com, it was out of print now. The book was published in 1969. Also at amazon.ca, it will take upto 6-8 weeks to ship. And this book is not even in my university library. I will take a look at my local music stores, see if they have a copy or not.

How about "Tonal Harmony" by Kostka and Payne?
