summer music camp ideas

Would love to hear your ideas on what has been successful for summer music camps.  What size groupings do you offer?  Do you mix levels/ages?  How do you make it different than what they've been doing in lessons during the school year?

Summer music camp for who?

I look first and foremost at the faculty. If I'm not interested in any of the teachers, then I won't even think about it. The second thing I look at is the price. Obviously whether I can afford it is very important, and this therefore includes the location. And thirdly, the timing in relation to other things I plan to do in the summer (e.g. other music festivals).

That's it really. I don't care if they don't have TV, internet, good food...

...OK, lies! I do care about internet access and at least a decent accommodation and catering! But none of it will change anything for me if the faculty is not attractive.

And the amount on lessons. Most one week master classes only offers 2 or 3 lessons. Somehow it feels much better with 4 lessons.
