Use it or lose it? 

Cover different angles on a language so concepts are revisited every once in awhile? 

Use it as language, as in speaking and writing, and not just memorizing words?  Not that memorization is completely bad.
Favorite new teacher quote -- "You found the only possible wrong answer."
