Suggestion for piece I can learn within a month?
on: April 25, 2010, 05:38:58 AM
Yeah, another thread like this, but I'm interested in what people suggest. So, late next month I'll be performing in a two-part recital among some friends (I'll be performing after another pianist), and so far I've decided on these four pieces:
First half
Mozart K309
Mozart K330
Tea break
Second half
Bach Prelude & Fugue 3 from WTC2
--
"Encore"
Beethoven Fantasia Op. 77
I'm looking for a short work (3-5 min preferably) I can play after the prelude and fugue. I was thinking I would play another Mozart sonata, but I don't want to bore them with so much Mozart. I'm looking for something "different", at least different from the other pieces I will be playing. And since I have about a month to learn whatever piece I choose, it can be be a somewhat-challenging piece (in relation to the other pieces). Any ideas?
