Hi Evan,
You're sacrificing alot of accuracy for speed, wich is never good. So get it right first at a slower tempo and get more voice in the left hand.

Good luck,

Don't be dejected!!  I thought it went very well, despite the clinkers.  You have to learn the left hand, alone, BY MEMORY, slow and up to speed - You've been very concerned (and rightly so!) about the right hand.  I especially liked the part after the descending black keys in the right hand-  The little coda.  You did play it at the right speed, though.  Now the octaves are another question...

Well, you already play it at the tempo it should be. Only the accuracy, left hand and the musical part needs more work ;)

Improving accuracy is only a question of patience. My teacher insists that I play not slowly but VERY slowly and with absolute accuracy. It is more difficult that you would think -- keeping concentration at a very slow speed, from beginning to end. Another good exercise, also played VERY SLOWLY, is right hand forte/left hand piano, then the other way around. It forces you to pay attention to every note, rather than playing automatically at high speed and hoping that the fingers will know what to do on their own.

We've all been there, so don't be so hard on yourself. Especially with chopets. It takes mostly 2 or 3 etudes until you understand the importance of playing slowly. So it's cool..

Uhm.. I'd practise it right hand alone a bit more, and both slowly legato and staccato. If you don't miss any tones while playing it staccato, you wont miss them when you're nervous.
And try to Sing the left hand. Not like "You have to sing with the piano", or any other cheezy comment, but actually sing it with your voice. Then you'll notice how to phrase it.

Some ppl say you should play it veeeeery slowly, but that has never worked for me... and maybe it wont work for you (But still try to play it very slowly for some weeks). If nothing happens, try to play it that slow so you have everything under control, but not so slow that you lose concentration.

You'll get there. Good luck :)
