The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

Re-releases and piano CD reviews
on: May 08, 2010, 07:10:53 AM
If you wish to review a cd, other than Google or Amazon where do you go? Grampahone seems the most professional but are there other sites?

Also, is there a way to research releases by publisher, in particular re-issued CDs?  I'd like to find Rubinstein's recordings of the Nocturnes from the 30s, but a search will reveal a large number of releases over the years, obviously by companies re-packaging to make more money.  I'd like to buy only one CD if possible but how to choose?  How to make an informed decision?  Surely there must be a site that compares releases of particular brands ie EMI, DG etc

thanks

Andrew
