Best Piano Pedagogy Program?
on: May 09, 2010, 02:18:02 PM
Hi everyone,
Just having a moment of thinking ahead. I'd like to know everyone's opinion on where the best pedagogy program for a masters in the US is. I'm a sophomore BMO (Bachelors in Music with an Outside Field) major at the Ithaca College School of music, and I'm looking to study pedagogy in grad school. We had a senior accepted at Oklahoma's program, which I've heard was very good. I'm just trying to think ahead about what I may need to play for an audition. Looking at the requirements for Westminster Choir College, I already have met those (though my performance level will no doubt improve over the next two years). I've taught lessons through my college for a year now and have completed the pedagogy course here, and I plan to continue to teach for the rest of my time here.
Thanks.
