Sheet music for "Crazy"?
on: May 16, 2010, 11:02:32 PM
My friend wants me to learn a song that she can sing while I play. I told her I know "Edelweiss", but she doesn't know the words. "What's to know?" I asked "Edelweiss, soft and white, bless my homeland forever". She wants something different. So since I know we both love Patsy Cline and she loves to sing "Crazy", I suggested I learn that. I found a free pdf on scribd.com, but it's sort of elementary in its arrangement.
Any idea where I can find a more interesting arrangement?

in your brain?
seriously though, it's probably going to be hard to find much written down in the world of jazz. you'll find some decent transcriptions of a few artists' works, but most of it exists only in the moment.
you can always try sheetmusicplus.com though. they've got as good a selection as anywhere, the only kicker is that they want you to actually pay money for things. gasp.

I WISH I could do an arrangement on my own, but I'm not talented like that. I don't mind paying for something, of course, but not until I know it's not boring.
Thanks, I'll try that site.
