heeloo there. one of my friends recently showed me a piece by chopin called grande valse brillane op. 18. is it hard to play? because i really want to  ;D. around what grade is it for ameb? i am gr 8.thanks in advance  :)

I'm not familiar with classifications of curricula by national organizations like AMEB, but Op. 18 is one of Chopin's longest waltzes and is surely not an easy one.  I think it perhaps sounds more challenging than it is, but, as with any piece of music, the actual degree of difficulty depends on an individual's technical skills.

For what it's worth, on a scale from 1 to 8+ (with VA, i.e., very advanced, being the highest) Eleanor Bailie assigns this waltz an 8 in Chopin:  A Graded Practical Guide.
