I liked it...a lot actually. Music is music. Who's to say classic and tradition are the way to go? I'm self taught but thankfully I appreciate the beauties of contemporary AND classical music. Good playing man :)

I'm VERY sorry that the classicist is coming out of me in here: Although I did find your video entertaining, I think sometimes the left hand could do a little more than octaves/chords. You said you've done a little classical music too... have you done technical exercises for your left hand as well as your right?

That's just nitpicky stuff... keep up the good contemporary playing!

Well played.

This work should not be kept inside. Do you jam? Have you formed a band? There are tons of Blues Jams all over the USA where you can meet musicians, try out some musical ideas and become part of the popular music community.

No doubt you've heard other piano players in this style. The first name that comes to mind is Marcia Ball.
