Donizetti- Lucia di Lammermoor (piano solo)
on: June 29, 2010, 05:06:52 AM
Hallo, once more! I wonder if any of you guys have or know where I might find the piano solo score of the famous 'tomb scene' of this Donizetti jewel? And does anyone know whether there's also a piano solo transcription of the ubiquitous and awesome 'Il dolce suono' scene?

Thanks in advance.

"Haydn comprehends the humanity in human life romantically; it is easier for the majority to understand him. Mozart strives for the superhuman and miraculous that dwell in the depths of the mind. Beethoven's music sets in motion the levers of fear, stirs shuddering, terror, anguish, and rouses the infinite longing that forms the essence of romanticism." -E.T.A. Hoffmann

There are dozens of transcriptions from this opera, but I do not know if they include the sections you want.

Tomorrow I will do you a zip file so you can have a look.

Thanks, I'd appreciate that immensely. Will have a look tomorrow then.

"Good operas have always been rare, in all periods, now they are almost non-existent. Why? you will ask. Because we make too much music; because we search too hard; because by peering into the obscurity we lose touch with the sun..." -Giuseppe Verdi
