Some Turina, some Debussy
on: June 29, 2010, 11:09:35 AM
From a DVD

I was rather inspired by TDS to find that little bit of Turina I've played. And I got interested in this recital, which dated from January 30, 2007. I know I'd get into deep trouble if the soprano knew what I was up to - this is for my pleasure, and I think you'd all like some beautiful music, too.

Three Spanish songs (Actually I've been having great difficulty finding the names) by Joaquín Turina...

And two by Debussy, Voici que le printemps and Harmonie du soir (in which a missed chord sounds beautiful).

It makes me happy.

Thanks tds.

Does anybody know this Turina? I'm a bit embarrassed I can't identify it!  :-[
