George Winston/ Pete Seeger
on: July 01, 2010, 05:00:28 PM
I really want the piano score for this song:
"Living in the Country", from the George Winston CD 'summer'. The booklet says:
'Composed by Pete Seeger as a solo guitar piece around 1956. The introduction to "Living in the Country" is a traditional Irish song, "Do You Love an Apple?", as arranged by Trions Ni Dhomhnaill and The Bothy Band.'
So, since g.w. wasn't the original composer, does that mean I would be able to get the music for it, or is it copyright because g.w. is still alive, and he played a variation of it?
If anyone has this piece I would be much obliged!
Thanks,
~kkb

It's still in copyright as Pete Seeger is still alive.
I cannot find this particular piece as a digital download from an authorised site, but it has got to be worth bying the book.
Got to be worth buying a 5 string banjo as well.
