Chopin - Polonaise in A-flat, op.53 "Heroic"
on: July 06, 2010, 01:44:56 PM
this is from a concert a couple of weeks ago.  here is the whole program:

Medtner - two fairy tales, op.20
Quentin Kim - Sonata in g# minor
Franck - Prelude, Chorale n Fugue
INTERMISSION
Debussy - Masques / D'un cahier d'esquisses / L'isle joyeuse
Bartok - Musiques nocturnes
Messiaen - petites esquisses d'oiseaux

this was the encore.  The encore is slightly dissonant from the rest of the second half... but i chose it because two of the event sponsors were polish.  have to make good with the sponsors! anyways it is a little rough around the edges, first time ie ver performerd it, and learned it just for this one concert, but i think it is exciting nonetheless.  enjoy!

Not bad at all.  Enjoyed listening to it.  You showed lots of different ways to approach this old war horse.

its a 9 foot steinway, i am not sure what year, but probably pretty new... also the sound recording was very good!  i had to transfer it and probably it lost quality, but on the original which i have its so clear.
thanks for listening to this slop that belongs in the pig trough!  its still fun tho.
