Nice pieces that are in C
on: July 11, 2010, 06:04:50 PM
Hey guys :) I just started learning the piano about a week ago.. After playing a simple version of jingle bells over and over again. My teacher has asked me to find a piece in the key of C. I was wondering whether you guys could help me! I dont want it to be too much of a classical piece.. something that sounds nice and will give me abit of a challenge! :)

Thank you so much for helping :)
Josh

Go to Recordings, here in the forum, and ear the Giga in C major, by Arnold. Yes, itīs very classical indeed but its far most beautiful than gingle bells, I think ;D. Without a good formation with classical music, you`ll never be a good performer.
Best wishes

Hi!

How about Bach's famous Prelude in C major (BWV 846)?
If you've been learning for only a week it'll definitely be a challenge, but it's really worth it. I'm sure you know this piece, btw, it's really well-known.
I had a lot of fun with it.

Yes, you have the sheets And you may ear the music too and choose. For a beginner, with one or two weeks only, Bach is a big problem, I think. Wait at least <> 3 months :)
Best wishes
