Schumann - Abegg Variations

hey guys, i'm learning this piece right now and i wanted to get some advices from people who have played it.

Well, it is early Schumann and not particularly that Schumannesque (I do however love the piece and have played it a lot!) so Thal may actually have some sort of okish feelings towards it (I doubt it but hey...)

You might like to listen to Kissin's recording of this. His dynamics & tone control make one realise what a subtle piece this can be. The recorded piano sound is also very good. It's on his Live at Carnegie Hall Recital CD.
(Apologies if you prefer not to listen to other versions when learning a piece.)

Delightful music and one of the few Schumann pieces i can listen to without having to have a bucket nearby.

If one did not know better, it could almost be mistaken for Herz .

Haha now I have heard everything - Thal likes Schumann! Although I did have one piano coach who stated that Schumann's 2nd Sonata G minor was "poorly scored". Although my current coach describes it as a "work of genius". They say genius and madness are close cousins.
