Entrance exams - advice
on: July 15, 2010, 11:27:36 AM
Hi! I want to study piano on college and now I choose my repertoir and need some advices, we holiday now, so I donīt meet my teacher for 2 moths and I want to study it now, when I have enough time...
In entrance exam I have to play -
Bachs three part invention or fast mvt from english/french suite, or something from WTC - I donīt like Bach, do I dont know
2 concert etudes - I began to study Chopins 10-9 (f-minor) and 25-12 (c-minor)
Fast mvt from classical sonata - I want to learn Beethovens ,Tempest, sonata - 1st mvt (largo allegro)
Romantic piece - Im learning Chopins Nocturne 27-1 - c sharp minor
20th century piece - I love Rachmaninov and Im learning his Elegy
Do you think its good choise? What Bach should I choose? Maybe some major, because the rest is minor, but I can play better sad pieces and I like it more!
