Fluency
on: July 19, 2010, 08:38:49 AM
What is the actual meaning or opinion for fluency in piano-playing?
The sense of proficiency, "fluency" encompasses a number of related but separable skills:
Reading: the ability to easily read and understand texts written in the language;[3]
Writing: the ability to formulate written texts in the language;
Comprehension: the ability to follow and understand speech in the language;
Speaking: the ability to produce speech in the language and be understood by its speakers
Good technique, good interpretion or good sight-reading? What are your views?

I looked up the word "fluency" which is from the adjective, "fluent"
meaning: skillful and smoothly flowing.
Now, as in piano playing I hope we play smoothy and flowing, so that the melodic
passages will make sense in what we are trying to convey through our playing.
