on: July 21, 2010, 04:15:22 AM
My third Espressivo. I want to say music by speaking or is it speaking through music? You decide and let me know what you think, artistic thoughts, music thoughts, comments, compliments, criticizem, whatever you feel, please leave a comment.
PS. I didn't get many responses from my second Espressivo, like before, comment if I you have any thoughts, Thank you.

Thank you for posting your own compositions.

Indeed, I am sorry you didn't get comments on your previous posting, or this one.  It seems that the Audition Room these days resembles a sort of heckling chamber, where only the worst recordings get attention, and most posters delight in negative comments, rather than constructive ones.

It seems rather that those responding in the Audition Room have rather lost focus on what makes quality in their art, and only care now about that which makes them laugh and feel superior.  It is a sad day, when people don't want to hear new, interesting things that are well-played; they want to hear what they know, completely destroyed.

Anyways, I think your piece (I only listened to #3) is nice, if slightly monotonous texturally.  I like the harmony but it seems the hands can be more independent of each other, and the rhythms can be varied somehow, perhaps with more irregular phrasings or whatnot.

I still congratulate you for doing this, and I did enjoy it.

I wasn't able to listen to your compositions as well due to the stops in the recording...
it's probably my PC or whatever is going on, however, I got to hear bits of each
composition and I like the lyrical aspect you wove into them.   :)
