Really camp! Sounded like one of those piano rolls recorded in 1923. Bravi!

That's funny, because the first time I ever heard "Poet and Peasant" was a piano roll performance.
I don't know what the exact problem was with the sound quality here, but it actually reminded me more of an ancient work-out wax cylinder recording than a piano roll.
I love the piece, though, and I did enjoy hearing it.

I find the piece a little corny and predictable, but I commend you for reaching out and doing something different.
Has anyone noticed the Audition Room going down the tubes recently? Instead of responding to people like the posters of the von Suppe, people doing real things with real skill and real effort, everyone seems to be responding to trash performances of standard repertoire? It makes one rather depressed. We should be encouraging this kind of effort, not the pseudo-provocative Florence Foster Jenkins of the Audition Room.
Shame on all, who come into this room, just to encourage the ones who care the least.
