I like to start playing piano
on: July 25, 2010, 11:17:27 PM
I hope that this is the right section.
I like to start playing piano.
Can somebody tell me how to begin?:
a) to buy an old piano? or electric piano?
b) With theacher or learning from example the internet (lessons)?

Always get a teacher and if you can afford it, get a piano

If you want to learn piano I suggest getting an acoustic piano. There are many good used pianos available.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

From ster100:
Maybe a acoustic piano makes more noise than an elektronic piano.
What do you think?

Do you live in an apartment or place where people will be bothered by noise? Maybe a digital piano would suit you better if this were the case.
An acoustic piano is still much preferred for practicing and learning the nuances of piano playing. Get an acoustic if you are at all able to do so.

I think you should buy a piano and find a teacher to teach you.A teacher can help a lot.
