Beethoven Bagatelle 5 Op 126 - Help please
on: August 10, 2010, 02:56:07 PM
Hi guys,

I’m learning Beethoven’s Bagatelle 5 Op 126, has anyone got any suggestions on how to finger the LH from bar 18. There are some rather large intervals starting from bar 19 like a C and then an E a 10th away.  I was wondering how to play the bass as legato as possible while dealing with this large interval problem.

I’ve been experimenting with pedal but I’m not sure if this is the best option for that. How have other people with smaller hands dealt with this piece? It feels quite awkward to play these large intervals for me or is that just something I need to put up with?
