Ok so I looked this up and I didnt find a RECENT post about this... so I figured it was ok to post something. If there's a newish thread about this feel free to direct me there and Ill put this one to rest. But in the meantime... what is everybody's favorite composer/piece and WHY (the why being more important). For me personally... I have a few
Favorite composer: Chopin
Favorite Pieces: Chopin Etude Op. 25 No. 12
Chopin Prelude Op. 28. No 7
Beethoven's Tempest Sonata 3rd Movement
Chopin Nocturne Opus 9 No. 3
Ok so I KNOW Im not into those "obscure" things in music... the things Im obsessed with are kind of well known. But I only started playing and listening a year ago so Im not ENTIRELY cultured in classical piano music. But Ill listen to any pieces people recommend

Woah, this is quite a question. Well, the first that comes to mind is Beethoven's "Waldstein Sonata." Then another that came to mind is Bach's "Italian Concerto," which I am thinking of a recording I heard of it on the harpsichord. But you know, it is really quite a difficult question to answer. So much great piano music is out there, these are probably the keyboard-music composers that have influenced and/or inspired me the most:
Beethoven
Chopin
Mozart
Bach
Brahms
Schubert
Handel
Thanks for asking the question. Gets me thinking...
