I like Nobou Uematsu and enjoy the FF series, recording is played very well. The only thing is that this recording need to be played on a real piano because there is no difference in forte touches, unable to get bigger and the volume plateaus throughout. Have to play gentler on your poor digital to allow it to cope. I also like the additions put in.

Personally I find Uematsu writing a bit formulated but that's the style of his writing, his melody writing is top class though which makes it very bearable. This example is of a piece which fits 10 times better with orchestra than on piano, sounds funny to my ears in parts.

I detect some inspiration from composers such as de Falla, Turina and Ginastera.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

That music is from a video game?

Stravinsky, Rite of Spring.

It sounds like movie music -- Elfman.

Maybe Prokofiev influence, Shostakovich, Khachaturian, Borodin.  Russian.

It kind of reminds me of Carmina Burana too.
