Beginning the Venture Into Piano Playing
on: September 05, 2010, 07:39:21 AM
Hey everyone,
I've always wanted to learn piano and now that i finally have free time, i want to start ASAP. but the problem is i dont have time for lessons from a teacher, and actually find their half hour a week lessons (the only kind offered in my area) quite limiting. i would benefit much more from perhaps an online site and/or software that could help me get started. i do not have big aspirations, i only care about being able to play stuff like Radiohead or Muse songs (muse might be a little daunting) or beatles songs, not be able to solo over changes and whatnot.
i am not a complete beginner musician. i am a very advanced guitarist and know a lot of music theory, from the basics to the heavy stuff. i just want information on good form, technique, and how pianists of my favorite bands or in general voice chords, etc. etc.
can anyone help?
