search for a proper piano...
on: September 05, 2010, 02:56:25 PM
hello!i am 20 years old and i am having piano lessons for about a year..i want to buy a piano...i went to a couple of dealers and there are some very good options...i want your opinion on them...

1.petrof 118 M1 about 7100E
2.yamaha U1 about 7500 E
3.yamaha U1 reconditioned yamaha 3000 E
4.young chang 121 cm, built in korea about 4500 E
5.a second hand yamaha w series 121 cm about 3500 E
6.kawai k2 114 cm about 5000 E

I must confess that i would prefer a european piano cause i dont like very much the bright identical sound that most of eastern pianos have...However the price of the petrof is very close to the U1...and I am reading various comments about them on the forum..does anyone have played recently manufactured petrof pianos??

hey ,,, it depends on what you like
i have never heard of a petrof.. maybe cos i live in australia.
yamahas are too bright for my liking but young changs are even worse.
but if i were to choose from these .. because of prices the reconditioned yamaha... you are a beginner of course

You might want to consider a rebuilt Steinway from America.
