Chopin Nocturne op 72 no 1

I'm learning this piece....... and I stumbled across something that i noticed i could use help with.
There are sixteenth notes and triplets going on at the same time and i was wondering how they aligned. can the triplets be interwoven with the sixteenth notes, where the sixteenthn notes come in on and inbetween the triplets, or should they be seperate...as two completely different rhythms?

Like in M. 31? Three against four. Polyrhythm. Say "Hin--demith-and Ravel", that's a sort of bridge. Or
"Pass the golden butter". If you get angry perhaps you might want to replace the word "golden", which works also fine.
