haydn sonata hob 16 no 34 fingering issues
on: September 10, 2010, 10:59:56 PM
Hi everybody, I have  a technique question regarding haydn's e minor sonata. Does anyone have suggestions for good left hand fingerings for the ascending d major arpeggio in measure 27 of the first movement? it trips me up every time I go through there, and lose momentum. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
Alec

You didn't mention which fingering you're presently using unsuccessfully, but my preference would be 54321 345432 1 (or, alternatively, 21432 123212 1, though it seems less elegant).
What passes you ain't for you.

thanks, those both work, and are way better than the, let's say "imaginative" fingering I was trying to use... haha.
