program to automatically refresh a webpage screen?
on: September 20, 2010, 09:28:57 PM
I'm looking for a freeby program or trick that will automatically refresh a webapage so I don't have to hit refresh myself.  I just want it to stay current all the time without any effort.  If it could record changes in a webpage, great.   And if it could ring a little bell to alert me when things change, even better.

This is for my browsing.  Not for embedding code within a webpage.

Does anything like that exist?  Something that's safe.  I've found two so far but I don't know the websites where they're listed.

Nice.

This Firefox one works well.  You can set it to make a sound when the page changes too.  Very cool.  If it works for what I want it to work on...

Firefox  Check 4 Change.  Looks promising.

That will be fun to play around with.

There's an off setting too.  It was like the Sorcerer's Apprentice.  It went off and kept going off every five seconds.
