Tarantellas...
on: October 02, 2010, 03:55:25 AM
Hey,

I wonder if anyone's got some piano solo tarantellas they could share with a fellow music lover? ;) I've already got Liszt's from his Venezia e Napoli as well as Chopin's.

Cheers

Try IMSLP. They probably will have more tarantellas than just the ones you mentioned.
Currently working on:
*Prelude, Op.23 N.4 (Rachmaninoff)
*Prelude & Fugue in F major, WTC II (Bach)
...not fully decided on what else to start (most likely will be a Liszt, Schubert, or Medtner)...

from the top of my head:

beethoven, last movement of sonata op.31 no.3
rach, last movement of his second suite for 2 pianos (i know it's not solo, but still piano only ;))

The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more
