on: October 09, 2010, 03:40:56 AM
Hi , when i composed a piece it sounded a little like the rach 3 in the opening and later on sounded like the prelude in c# minor . Is this ok when i compose? Btw.all my notes are octaves

All of the great composers quoted earlier ones in their music. It's totally okay, but try to find your own voice too. Keep composing!

A wrong note played timidly is a wrong note. A wrong note played with authority is an interpretation.
