Do you have a piano?
on: October 12, 2010, 05:34:31 PM
Hi there, I may not be allowed to post this here, if not just let me know. I have a question for all you classical music lovers. My name is L J Stacey, I am a Film Production student and I am currently producing a short film. The film is based on a true story. It is about a young girl from a musical family who goes deaf at a very early age but miraculously learns to play the piano. We are looking for a house in south England to film in between the 5th-7th November. We need a house with a piano in a spacious, not too cluttered room. We would also plan to film in the kitchen and two bedrooms.

We are covered by insurance and willing to pay £200 per day. We are a small crew of 10 plus 3 actors.

I understand that letting a film crew into your home can be a scary idea but if you are at all interested drop me an email or give me a ring and we can have a chat about it before you make your final decision.

Many Thanks,

L J Stacey

Sounds very interesting and I know someone who might be interested.

His name is Alistair Hinton and you can contact him on sorabji-archive@lineone.net

He lives in a large farmhouse near the Welsh border, but the access is slightly restricted.

Not a problem if you don't mind cleaning cowshit off your boots.

Good luck with the project.

I cannot help but note that you are careful not to declare the rate of commission that you might be on or that your might expect to receive in return for your recommendation for this project, but cleaning bullshit off what you write might seem somewhat more of an issue than what you mention here as "not a problem", for all that I have little doubt that your intentions here were - er - constructiveinteresting...

Doubtless when I have finally moved to France you will be all to ready to start making remarks about cleaning frogs off clogs or the like, but never mind - your "recommendation" is at least appreciated for what it is, no more, no less (especially one of those - take your pick)...

Best,

Alistair
