His recording of the Weber/Tausig Invitation will live forever in my memory.

OH DON'T SAY THAT - You'll only encourage him    >:(

Re MIDI recordings.

I think these works lie somewhere in between the categories of human performance and electronic music.  The latter is in no way any less than the former.  To judge them on the same plane as human performance would be unfair. The expression of electronic music requires a much different set of skills than a pianists hands touching keys in real time.

As of yet, there is no real definition on PS as to the place of such music in the Audition Room. A child board or Subject label "MIDI" or "electronic" would be possibilities in clarifying the content of a recording.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

I see some new SCP recordings have infested the audition room.

Hopefully, not one member will bother to comment.

Yeah - I've given up insulting him, and posting on his thread.

I've had my fun insulting him in the past, but after a while it's like shouting insults at a hamster.

I'm finding Ana equally annoying.  As if there's any need or justification for cross-posting that nonsense.  It's just spam at this point, and I don't know why it's tolerated.

Indeed, I hope SCP has not ruined that masterpiece.

perhaps I am mistaken, but I thought that there was some degree of him getting mad at poor artists criticizing his work (which was uniformly excellent).  it may not have been slow-concert, but I think that was what I remember of the general issue.  whatever the cause may be, I miss him.

It wasn't Slow_concert...
but yes I think you are right. The 2 persons in question might have been only the last straw though...

SCP is returning to the attack. As I know the moderators will probably delete all his threads, I'll post here the answer I think he deserves:

I just listened to Barenboim's interpretation of the Pastoral [...]. My performance is everything his is not.

What's so funny about that?  I'm sure it WAS everything Barenboim's wasn't...

Thankfully, he has not one respone.

Hopefully, it will stay that way, although I am sorely tempted.

Maybe the audition room should be only for people playing the piece, not computers playing.
Funny? How? How am I funny?
