Looking for sound files of single notes
on: October 27, 2010, 02:15:32 AM
Hello,

I have been having some problems with ear training recently, and as a partial way of remedying them I've decided to make electronic flashcards using the program "Anki". However, I have been unable to find any sound files of single notes (except for middle C) that I could use for the flashcards. To be honest, I don't really know what to search for. Does anyone know of a way to easily download/synthesize single pitches and save them as a file (so that I don't have to record them myself)? I know there are many ear-training pages out there but I would like to create a specialized one for myself, which is why I need the files.

Thanks!

Try searching for sampled pianos.  One with a sample of every single note might be more what you are looking for.  Also try looking for soundfonts of pianos.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
