Classical pieces for a beginner
on: October 29, 2010, 07:03:47 PM
Hello. I just started playing 3 months ago, and I'm looking for some classical pieces that are not too hard.

My level is moving-on-from-Für-Elise.

It would be nice if it had some built in exercises (like all the scales in Mozart's Fantasia), but still expanding my repetoir with something people wouldn't mind listening to.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

How about the Bach minuet in G ? it'll take some work but will take you to the next level

That looks easier than Für Elise. I might try it though.

My teacher asked me to practice Greig's Morning Mood (Morgenstimmung), but i think it'll be a couple of months before I can handle it. (

The Schumann one is very cute. I'll give it a try.

Try some of Kabalevskys Childrens Pieces, or Schumanns Album for the Young.

A Couple of Mozarts earliest Minuets may be handy (Look for the lower Koerchel number)

(I don't know how you spell Koerchel?)

Ther`s in this forum a Bernhard post with an extensive list of pieces for beginners. All they are very beautiful and some of them seems harder than they are. So you can play them to your friends and make a good figure, wich is very important to you cause helps you playing in public. Have a look. If you dont find Bernhard post, I can send it to you by mail.

Roseli, que é feito de si? Como vai o piano? Arranjou professor? Já está bem lançada na música? Se quiser e puder, dê notícias, ok?

Any classical music you like to play. Because there are many easy arrangements for beginners and starters. You can play "Fur Elise", the first part is pretty easy. I've taught it to many students and they loved it. They are happy to play such a signature classical piano music everybody knows so easy~ ;)

Hey, here are some easy pieces:
La Cucaracha - traditional
Etude Op. 10 – 12
“Revolutionary Etude” – Chopin
Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-Sharp Minor
“Moonlight Sonata” – Beethoven

Hello. I just started playing 3 months ago, and I'm looking for some classical pieces that are not too hard.
