Competition Repertoire
on: November 07, 2010, 11:43:40 AM
I'm 15 and I'm from Ireland. I'm looking to play in a national competition next March. It's open repertoire and no more than 15 minutes. I'm looking at:

Bach: Fugue in D Major from WTC 1
Chopin: Ballade No. 3
Ginastera: Danzas Criollas, No. 1, No. 5 and Coda

Good choices? Any tips for performance?

Those are great pieces!
I would play the prelude and the fugue together, but I know you have a time limit... (Personally, as a Bach fan, I'd adjust my other repertoire to fit in Bach, but it's not necessarily wise, it's just me :D)
Good luck on your competition!
