BWV 850 WTC 1 D major : Fugue only
on: November 07, 2010, 09:58:14 PM
Hi, everybody !
Here's my recording of the fugue in D major from the first volume of the WTC. Feel free to comment it. It's not perfect, there are some wrong notes. I'm still working on it. I might make a new recording later.
Thanks for listening.

It's a little bit too slow. I feel like you're counting it in 8. It shouldn't be any slower than quarter note=60- The tricky part, of course, are those 32nd notes. They have to be absolutely even in tone and tempo. Look for the best fingering each time it comes around.
It's a good beginning, though. You have a nice full sound to your touch!

Hi, birba !
Thank you for listening !
Yes, I like it slow, but I might have played too slow. I'm going to practice to speed up a little. Yes indeed, those 32nd notes give me a hard time.

You like the sound of the instrument ? It's a digital piano (Kawai CA-63). I like it very much though it can't replace an acoustic piano, it's very good for practice (especially late at night).
Thank for your comment.
