Best keyboard for hotel room practicing
on: November 25, 2010, 03:02:02 PM
Since I do a lot of traveling, what would be a good keyboard to get for practicing while I am on the road and staying in a hotel room?

Well, how much weight can you realistically carry? I would have thought anything more ambitious than a lightweight 61-note keyboard would be likely to cost you a fortune in airport charges!
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.

I used a Yamaha PSR. Very light, not quite full size. Every portable keyboard I have tried is a significant compromise, so I accept less than perfection, in exchange for a cheap, super light, very portable solution. Being very different to a piano, I then practise differently to accomodate it.

Perhaps you may consider using the piano in the hotel lobby.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
