Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen
on: November 26, 2010, 02:56:42 AM
Hey,

Anyone's got an advanced piano solo transcription of this more than famous section of Mozart's 'Die Zauberflöte'?

“‘Musical ideas pursue me to the point of torture. I cannot get rid of them, they stand before me like a wall. If it is an allegro that pursues me, my pulse beats faster, I cannot sleep; if an adagio, I find my pulse beating slowly. My imagination plays upon me as if I were a keyboard.’
Then Haydn smiled, the blood suddenly flamed in his cheeks as he said ‘I really am a living keyboard’.”

J B Cramer wrote a theme and variations on this, but the pdf was a private scan.

I will see if i can get permission from the chap who did it.
