Yamaha C2 & C3 Pricing
on: November 28, 2010, 08:15:31 PM
3 years ago I bought a U1 and the discount was roughly 30% off MSRP. I'm trying to upgrade to either a C2 or C3 so does anybody have thoughts of what the discount off or MSRP is normal to get for the C2 or C3?

Thanks in advance!

I bought mine only 6 months ago... and it's a Yamaha C2. The retail price said $37,000, however when I talked to them and seriously discussed about buying it, they said they could go as low as $27,000.

It's almost about 30%... but this is also in Australian Dollars.

There are a lot of differences between C2 and C3.  Much more than comparing C1 and C2. I'd think the pricing would vary depending on where and when you shop.

If you are on a tight budget, perhaps you would consider a used piano.  I got a 20 year old C3 in excellent condition for much less than the MSRP.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Four years ago, I was shopping for a piano.
Without too much effort, I was offered C3 for $24,000 (in US dollar).
I have learned that Yamaha dealer can easily go to 60% of the MSRP.
I have paid attention that this formula works for YUS5, U1, and C3.
I do not know other models. I friend of mine bought YUS5 for $9K.
