Beginner need advice on digital/stage piano
on: December 01, 2010, 09:08:40 PM
Hello everyone!
I finally decided and want to make a serious attempt to the play the piano.
I searched around and am thinking about buying a digital/stage piano.
What I would like to have in a electrical piano is:
*88 keys i.e it being a full size piano.
*a realistic acoustics piano sound, or close to it.
*a realistic feeling with the keys, so it feel like you play a acoustics piano.
I have search but not fully understood the difference between graded keys and hammered action keys, on a digital piano.
If someone on the forum know, can you please try to explain.
To summarize it I would like to have a digital piano that feels and sounds like a acoustics piano.
I found two different models,
ProKeys88
https://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/ProKeys88.html
and
Thomann SP5100
https://www.thomann.de/se/thomann_sp5100.htm
My budget would be around $900 or ~700 Euro at the high end.
Do any of you own any of the models or tried them out? What are your opinions?
Have you any suggestion of another model in the price range?
[Edit] I live Sweden, so if you recommend a model or store that ships to EU would it be great!
Thanks in advance
