Quick Question
on: December 03, 2010, 01:18:30 AM
I am still a bit away from graduating from high school, but I have been pondering on quite a vast amount of topics regarding college. I'm aware that it is advisable to be involved in extracurricular activities in order to be accepted (when speaking of the majority of 4-year colleges). I have been playing soccer in a local league but have never actually joined my school's team, and this is where my question takes place.
Do sports have to be directly involved with school, or can it still be valid if one is participating in a local athletic league that is not directly affiliated with school at all?

I doubt it would matter as long as it's an organization of some kind. It would probably just appear as text on something. If you got a title in an organization, even if you did nothing having that, that would make it look even better on paper.
Although I really don't know. I don't deal with that stuff. I know music is supposed to look good. Music and sports would probably make you look more well-rounded. And it depends what kind of school you're applying to.
